The twenty eight casinos operated by eleven tribes in Wisconsin had a revenue growth of $1.2 billion or 4.4%. This placed them eighth amongst Indian gaming states. The Wisconsin's tribal casinos had an $85 million revenue growth in its non gambling revenues.

The pacts that were renegotiated between the states and the tribal casinos in 2004 have increased the revenues last year. The revenues paid during the 2004 amounted to sixty eight million and last year the tax revenues went as high as seventy one million.

During 2005, Indian gambling revenues nationwide had grown more than fifteen percent. According to Alan Meister, an economist, it was the tenth straight year that the gambling revenues increase had reached fifteen percent.

The growth is credited to extended offerings at existing tribal casinos and intensified advertising strategies by the Indian tribes.

According to Meiser, an economist with the Analysis Group in Los Angeles, there are fifty five native tribes that operate fifty seven casinos in California. The California tribes saw revenues of twenty four percent, amounting to more than seven billion.

Meiser said that he based the results of the report on government agencies, Indian tribes and their casinos, gambling agencies and some financial reports that tribes are not obligated to report publicly.

The California tribes had added five star hotels, gourmet restaurants, golf and spas to attract more players as well as guests to visit the casino.

There are also proposals for at least forty seven more Indian casinos in California, particularly in the San Francisco Bay area, but regulatory changes must be made before these casinos can be approved

Aside from the California state, Nebraska and Oklahoma gambling revenues have also increased. Meanwhile Louisiana, South Carolina, Maine and Alaska had gambling revenues that dropped.
